Plot Summary:
Set in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, 12 Strong follows Captain Mitch Nelson and his elite U.S. Special Forces team as they are deployed to Afghanistan. Tasked with assisting the Northern Alliance in their fight against the Taliban, the soldiers must navigate treacherous mountain terrain, cultural barriers, and overwhelming odds. Riding horses and using unconventional tactics, they engage in a pivotal mission that helped shape the early stages of the U.S. war in Afghanistan.
